Trash The Dress

Trashing the dress … when brides (and grooms) work with their photographers to create beautiful, sensual, edgy, raw and oftentimes downright dirty artistic memories of the final day in their wedding gown.  Understandably, not all brides are willing to literally “trash” their beloved wedding gown, and trashing the dress can be done in ways that the gown survives.  For me?  I think I want to get married JUST to have a “trash the dress” photo shoot … take a look at some of my very favorites shots …

With love,   Paula ….

This photo exemplifies what I love about trashing the dress … amazing shot by Segerius-Bruce Photography.

Great shot by KJP Images

Yemisi and Olu | Boston Wedding

I began working with Yemisi and Olu well over a year before their wedding and I fell in love with this vibrant, engaging couple immediately.  Most of my couples live outside of Massachusetts so we often don’t meet until well into the planning process, but there was something about Yemisi’s gentle voice and infectious laugh which drew me to her and once we finally met in person, I felt as though the three of us had known each other all of our lives.  Yemisi’s (now) husband, Olu (aka my secret “boyfriend”) is simply lovely and charming and this couple compliments each other so well as captured perfectly by No Eye Has Seen Photography.  This unique wedding, sprinkled with cultural traditions – which we SO love – was filled with love, laughte, vibrant colors and decor, as they were surrounded by nearly 300 of their closest friends and family from all over the world.    I enjoyed every single moment of working with Yemisi and Olu and I hope that you enjoy a glimpse into their perfect day!   It makes me smile each time I look at these amazing photos!

With love, Paula ….

See what I mean?  Her smile is absolutely infectious!

I love the anticipation when the bride arrives and we hold her privately until all of her guests are seated!

What glorious colors were part of this wedding!!

The simple elegance of red on pewter was carried throughout the entire wedding reception and Karla Cassidy Designs created stunning floral pieces, as usual!

What an amazingly beautiful couple!  Congratulations Yemisi and Olu!

Pumpkin Party

From May through mid-October, the majority of my weeks – and every second of each weekend – is consumed with wedding preparation and tending to my beautiful couples.   However, when late October rolls around, I get to revert back to my very favorite job … being Julian’s Mommy!  And with that said, of course the first non-wedding event I had to plan was a pumpkin carving party for him and his friends!    Armed with carving tools and tons of sugar, we set out to create some of the spookiest, funniest and ghoul-ish pumpkins!     Hoping you enjoy some of the fun we had!
